Nursing Scholarships

Each year the HCH Scholarship Fund is proud to provide tuition assistance to students pursuing education and careers in the nursing field.

Over the past few years of the health crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic, nurses all across the nation have been celebrated and thanked for their service. As a community, we admire and thank our nurses for the sacrifices they make every day to care for others. Making the decision to go into the nursing field is no small thing, that’s why supporting the nurses of tomorrow is crucial.

This past year, seven returning recipients were joined by 3 new recipients! We are proud to note that two of the recipients are current or former Holland Christian Home employees!

Alexis Struck, former recipient and past employee of the Home, was inspired to enter the nursing field “because of my work at the Holland Home. I have worked at the Holland Home for six years and it has helped me to develop a passion for helping people. It brings me joy to be able to help people when they are in a time of need.”

“As a Christian,” wrote returning recipient Sam Faber, “I believe that God calls us to serve others to the highest of our abilities.”

2022 Nursing Scholars

We are proud to announce the following students were awarded 2022 Nursing Scholarships from the Holland Christian Home Memorial Fund:

Those in nursing professions are central to the excellent care provided at the Home, and the coronavirus reminds us again of how truly selfless, brave and vital they are. We are blessed to have them. Students who have chosen nursing as a career today are inspiring, and we are grateful to play a small role in helping them reach their dreams!
