For a remarkable second year in a row, the Holland Christian Home has received a “Deficiency-Free” rating from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS).

The rating is the highest awarded by NJDHSS and comes following an unannounced, on-site inspection survey. The survey provides a comprehensive assessment of the Home’s compliance with hundreds of specific state standards in every area of operation – including care provided, condition of the building and grounds, integrity of record-keeping procedures and more.

The deficiency-free rating represents an exceptional level of care. From 2010 through 2014, 16 percent or fewer New Jersey skilled nursing facilities the size of the Home’s (50-99 beds) achieved deficiency-free ratings according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ 2015 Nursing Home Data Compendium, the most recent available. Fewer than 14 percent of all nursing homes in the state achieved similar results.

To achieve a rating like this, everyone on our team needs to excel at all times. The fact that we have received this recognition in two consecutive years is proof of our rock-solid commitment to quality, safety and customer service.
