Our Independent Living rooms give residents total personal freedom, with the reassurance of medical and daily living resources that are always available if needed.
Without the day-to-day responsibilities and expenses associated with owning and maintaining a home, residents have time to socialize with neighbors and enjoy activities. And they may come and go as they please, enjoying the freedom of having their own cars, attending their own churches and organizations, or travelling and visiting friends and family.
Residents bring their own furniture and effects to the Home, so each room is a personal expression of a resident’s style. You’ll find photos of family and loved ones, musical instruments, arts and crafts, computers and much, much more in our residents’ rooms – each telling a wonderful story about the people who live there.
Our residents benefit from a host of services we provide, including full and frequent housekeeping and laundry service, three delicious, homemade daily meals prepared under the direction of a Culinary Institute-trained chef, and a highly-skilled on-site medical team to attend to our residents’ every health care need.

Life Care Program
Life Care is at the heart of the Holland Christian Home’s distinctly Christian mission.
It is a continuum of care given for the rest of your life, including the assurance of long-term skilled nursing care on-site if you should need it, at no added cost. Our payment model means that a one-time entrance fee and small monthly fee secure all of the Home’s services for the rest of your life.
That means that, if at any time you require it, you have immediate access to the professional nursing staff in Mountain View Skilled Nursing Unit at no additional cost. It also means that over the average length of stay at the Home, residents pay significantly less than at comparable, high-quality facilities. That’s because most facilities charge for additional services, sometimes known as a “fee-for-service” or “a la carte” payment model.
Life Care is unique, and the Holland Christian Home is one of only a select few CCRCs in New Jersey to use the Life Care model. For our residents and their families, it’s a promise that means peace of mind.
